President extends best wishes to believers who celebrate Christmas on Dec. 25

Skopje, 24 December 2025 (MIA) — President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova has offered her best Christmas wishes to Kiro Stojanov, Bishop of Skopje for Catholics of Latin rite and Bishop of Strumica-Skopje for Catholics of Byzantine rite, and to all those who observe Christmas on Dec. 25 in the Gregorian calendar.

"With particular pleasure, to all believers who celebrate Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar date, I extend my heartfelt greetings on the day of the Nativity of Christ, Christmas.

"May these bright holidays bring you good health, spiritual peace and joy, filling your homes with tranquility, love and warmth.

"Christmas, being one of the most sublime Christian holidays, reminds us of the eternal values: solidarity, humanity and hope, which bring people closer and strengthen faith in a better future," Siljanovska Davkova wrote.

May the holidays, she added, be an incentive for doing good deeds and sharing mutual respect.

"Let us give smiles, nurture human closeness and be bearers of lightheartedness and optimism in our everyday lives, sharing our joy with everyone around us," the Macedonian president wrote. mr/
