Skopje, 24 December 2025 (MIA) — At a session of Parliament earlier Wednesday, former government spokesman Muhamed Hoxha was elected minister of environment and former health minister Bekim Sali was elected minister of European affairs.

Immediately after their election, Hoxha and Sali took their oaths of office before lawmakers.

During the session, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski elaborated on the nominations of Hoxha to lead the Ministry of Environment and Sali to take the helm of the Ministry of European Affairs.

He said Hoxha had held many administrative posts of trust and responsibility.

He said Sali, as former health minister and current MP, clearly understood the relations between the executive and legislative branches, which would help him coordinate processes related to EU integraton.

Earlier in the session, Parliament dismissed Orhan Murtezani as Europe minister. mr/
