Mucunski attends meeting of Central European Initiative foreign ministers in Belgrade

Belgrade, 25 November 2025 (MIA) - The enlargement of the European Union, current geopolitical circumstances, regional security and the need for greater regional connection and cooperation were at the focus of talks at the working dinner on Tuesday in Belgrade between Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and foreign ministers from the Central European Initiative.

“This evening in Belgrade I attended a working dinner with the CEI foreign ministers. The focus was placed on the enlargement of the European Union, current geopolitical circumstances, regional security and the need for greater regional connection and cooperation,” Mucunski wrote in a post on his official Facebook page. 

According to the Foreign Minister, the meeting emphasized the importance of the initiative as a stable foundation for the enhancement of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, the promotion of partnership, and the effective tackling of regional challenges.

“In my address I stressed the importance of regional connection and cooperation which proved to be key tools for encouraging European integration – the most significant project in support of peace, security, and economic development on the continent. I reaffirmed our full commitment to the European path as a geostrategic necessity for a stable and prosperous region,” the Minister added.
