Skopje, 2 April 2025 (MIA) — Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and the opposition SDSM party leader Venko Filipche are set to meet Thursday at 2 pm, according to an official press release.

The meeting was scheduled after both Mickoski and Filipche publicly voiced their readiness to meet, the release said.

The prime minister told the press Wednesday in Shtip that he was willing to meet with Filipche, who had called for political and social dialogue.

"If he really has a plan and is willing to help, I am available at any time. I will adjust my schedule, at midnight, after midnight, whenever he says. I will hear out his plan and see if anything can be resolved," Mickoski said.

Earlier Wednesday, the SDSM leader told a press conference that the Kochani tragedy had stirred public revolt and anger at the dysfunctional system. He said education, healthcare, judiciary, environment, and partisan politics all needed to be addressed.

"Public services do not perform to the people's needs and all political parties should take the blame for this," Filipche said. mr/
