Dimitrievski: Dialogue is welcome, but problem makers can't be problem solvers

Skopje, 4 April 2025 (MIA) — Dialogue in politics is necessary and welcome but problem makers should not be given an opportunity to solve problems, ZNAM Movement leader Maksim Dimitrievski said in a TV appearance Friday evening, commenting on Thursday's meeting between Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and SDSM leader Venko Filipche.

According to Dimitrievski in TV Sitel's news program, "the same people who led us into this situation should not be allowed to be the creators of solutions."

"We have a legitimate, stable government, with an absolute majority that has the responsibility to find solutions," he said.

According to Dimitrievski, Filipche was demonstrating "sheer hypocrisy" and he had apparently proclaimed himself the leader of the opposition instead of a leader of one opposition party.

The ZNAM Movement leader said he did not rule out the possibility that other party leaders may also request "such forms of dialogue."

When asked about a potential leaders meeting, Dimitrievski said he did not mind attending but any such meetings, he said, boiled down to a debate between political representatives. The government, he said, was responsible for its actions. mr/
