Skopje, 20 December 2025 (MIA) - Five flights have been cancelled, two rerouted and six delayed at the Skopje International Airport by 2 p.m. on Saturday as heavy fog in Skopje reduced visibility. Weather conditions have improved since 12 p.m., allowing three flights to arrive, one to take off, and another three flights are ready to take off, TAV Macedonia told MIA.  

Due to the variable weather conditions, passengers are advised to check the Skopje Airport website, and stay in contact with the airlines for the latest flight information. 

"Today, December 20, 2025, from 00:00 to 14:00, five flights have been cancelled, two rerouted and six delayed at the Skopje International Airport due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog in the Skopje valley. Weather conditions have improved since 12:00, allowing three flights to arrive (from Dortmund, Istanbul and Paris), one flight to take off (to Istanbul), and another three flights are ready to take off (to Oslo, Ljubljana and Baden-Baden)," TAV Macedonia told MIA. 

The Skopje fog has been hindering both air and road transport on Saturday. Earlier, the Auto-Moto Association of Macedonia said Mainly dry roads are reported nationwide, but fog has reduced visibility on several roads in the country.
