Skopje, 10 January 2026 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski inspected on Saturday the work done by the "Macedonia Road" Public Enterprise to ensure the expected snowfall does not disrupt traffic. Nikoloski visited the enterprise’s teams at the Strazha and Preseka mountain passes.

Nikoloski noted that all roads nationwide are passable due to the hard work done by the “Macedonia Road” employees.

“Today I am inspecting the activities of ‘Macedonia Road’. I can say that the situation is good, all roads in the country are passable. I would like to thank these wonderful people at ‘Macedonia Road’ who are doing all they can to ensure the roads are passable and clear,” Nikoloski said.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the “Macedonia Road” employees, and urged citizens to drive carefully and adjust their speed according to the conditions.

“I would like to ask all those traveling to follow the rules and regulations, to use winter tires, chains wherever necessary, and all additional equipment, and to adjust their speed. We will make sure the roads are passable everywhere so that this storm affecting Macedonia is not felt, or is felt only minimally,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
