Skopje, 21 December 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski extended Sunday a greeting on the Day of Turkish Language Teaching, pointing out that this day is a reminder that education in the mother tongue is a pedagogical necessity, as well as a profound civilizational value and constitutional commitment.
"Language acts as a vehicle for transmitting knowledge, cultural memory and a sense of belonging, while the school transforms these values into common good," said Mickoski.
The PM stressed that Turkish language teaching is part of the country's historical and social heritage and contributes to building an educational system based on respect, equality and mutual understanding.
"As a Government, we understand the responsibility to ensure that every child has access to quality education, regardless of their mother tongue. Investing in education and teaching in the mother tongue is an investment in trust and in the country's future," Mickoski said in his Facebook greeting to the Turkish community.
