Mickoski attends event marking 119th death anniversary of Dame Gruev
- The 119th anniversary of the death of Macedonian revolutionary Dame Gruev was marked with a flower-laying ceremony and commemoration in the village of Rusinovo near Berovo on Saturday.
Berovo, 20 December 2025 (MIA) - The 119th anniversary of the death of Macedonian revolutionary Dame Gruev was marked with a flower-laying ceremony and commemoration in the village of Rusinovo near Berovo on Saturday.

Prime Minister and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski attended Saturday's commemoration honouring Dame Gruev, who died on December 23, 1906, in a battle with Ottoman forces on Mount Petlec, near Rusinovo.
As part of the event, a memorial service was held at the village cemetery, after which Mickoski and the other attendees laid flowers in front of the revolutionary's memorial.
The commemoration continued with a traditional march to the Petlec area, the place where Gruev gave his life for the idea of a free and independent Macedonia.
The event was organized by the Municipal Committee of VMRO-DPMNE in Berovo, with numerous citizens, party representatives and Macedonian revolutionary history enthusiasts in attendance.
