Skopje, 10 December 2025 (MIA) - The Interior Ministry’s department for combating organized and serious crime filed Tuesday a criminal complaint to the Skopje-based Public Prosecutor’s Office against former Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski over suspected abuse of official position and authorization.
“While serving as the Interior Minister in 2021, O.S. abused his official position and authorization to enable a legal entity – a vehicle technical inspection service in the Municipality of Saraj – to unlawfully obtain material gains amounting to Mden 5.565.972 [around EUR 90.400],” the Interior Ministry said in a press release Wednesday.
According to the Ministry, Spasovski committed the crime by failing to issue a decision to revoke the authorization for technical inspection within the legally prescribed timeframe, based on a proposal submitted by the competent organizational unit for civil affairs.
