Skopje, 20 February 2025 (MIA) – We, as stakeholders, are a small country, but we have strongly condemned Russia’s aggression and we support everything contributing to peace and protecting the integrity and borders of Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister Izet Mexhiti said when asked about the country’s position in the wake of peace talks involving Ukraine between the United States and Russia with the EU being excluded.
He had the same response when asked for a comment on some analysis that irredentism in the Balkans could be on the rise in the event of redrawing of Ukraine’s borders.
“We’ve said, loud and clear, we are against the Russian aggression. Ukraine needs to remain as it is and we all need to play a role in achieving peace sooner and to prevent further fatalities,” stated Mexhiti on Thursday.
