Skopje, 7 May 2026 (MIA) - "Applied Technology and Digitalization as Drivers of Economic Development" is the theme of the German-Macedonian Business Summit set to take place in Skopje on Thursday. Organised by AHK North Macedonia and the German-Macedonian Business Association (DMWV), the Summit brings together decision-makers from business, politics and innovation. 

The event features a special address by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, as well as addresses by top business officials from the country, Germany and the region. 

The summit will focus on North Macedonia's economic prospects and the role of the ICT sector, industrial transformation, automation and innovation, digitalization in logistics and business processes, the role of startups in digital transformation, the future of the digital economy and the application of artificial intelligence. 

As part of the summit, a ceremony will also be held for the German–Macedonian Business Award 2026 which honors companies that invest in their people as the true drivers of sustainable growth.
