Skopje, 18 January 2025 (MIA) - The Interior Ministry confirmed Saturday that police arrested Rade Trajkovski-Shtekli upon order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime and Corruption. 

Some Macedonian media outlets reported that he was arrested Saturday afternoon near a hotel in the area of Gevgelija while attempting to flee. According to the reports, he is suspected of drug trafficking.

In November last year, an explosive device was thrown in a yard in the Keramidnica settlement in Skopje, whereby Trajkovski was injured in the explosion and taken to the "St. Naum Ohridski" hospital for treatment. 

In 2023, he was shot at in the East Gate Mall shopping center in Skopje.
