Skopje, 29 April 2026 (MIA) - The Trebenishta interchange, yet another section of the Ohrid-Kichevo highway, will be put into operation tomorrow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski said in a Facebook post after inspecting construction works on the highway late Wednesday together with State Roads director Koce Trajanovski.

"Construction works continue along the Ohrid-Kichevo highway late into the evening, given that the weather conditions are favorable, which reaffirms our commitment to completing the highway within the scheduled deadline. Starting tomorrow, the Trebenishta interchange will be opened to traffic, completing yet another section of the Ohrid-Kichevo highway," said Nikoloski. 

He pointed out that results are inevitable when there is a clear goal, strong coordination and will.

"Intensive work is also underway on secondary roads, which were not previously planned, so that no settlement remains unconnected. We are showing continuity and responsibility in the implementation of capital projects that are of strategic importance for the country," the Deputy PM stressed.
