Skopje, 1 December 2025 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski held Monday a working meeting with Croatian Ambassador Nives Tiganj, presenting the Government's investment plans for the construction and modernization of road and railway corridors VIII and X, as part of the European transport networks.

Nikolovski highlighted the possibility of boosting economic and trade cooperation in the interests of both countries, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release. 

"Particular focus was placed on the construction of the Corridor X high-speed railway, as a prerequisite for swift and efficient transport of goods to Central and Eastern Europe, highlighting the possibility of participation of specialized companies from Croatia in the implementation of this project. Interlocutors also exchanged views on current political issues in the country and the region, the European integration process and the stability of the Western Balkans," reads the press release. 

Nikoloski and Tiganj, it adds, reaffirmed excellent relations between the two countries and agreed to continue to maintain them at a high level in the interest of mutual cooperation.
