All trucks available to “Macedonia Road” have already been put into operation, and companies engaged in snow clearing are also assisting, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski on Thursday afternoon.
Nikoloski stressed that all roads across the country are passable, and no disruptions have been reported. At the same time, he urged the citizens to drive carefully and adjust their speed according to the conditions.
‘It is very important to use winter tires and wherever necessary, equipment such as chains and everything else recommended by the authorities, in order to ensure safe and secure traffic,’ Nikoloski stressed.
The Transport Minister pointed out that snowfall is expected to continue in the coming days, stressing that the institutions will remain in constant communication and coordination to ensure traffic flows smoothly nationwide and citizens reach their destinations, especially after the holidays, so business can proceed without interruption.
‘Once again, I urge the citizens to drive responsibly and respect all rules set by the authorities. I would also like to congratulate all those who, day and night, for 24 hours, are working to deal with the snowfall,’ said Nikoloski.
