Skopje, 25 November 2025 (MIA) – A new civic development bond will be issued in early December. Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska has said citizens have been recently showing interest in the issuing of a civic development bond and that details will be revealed as soon as the prospect is released.
“Recently, the citizens have been asking a lot the Ministry of Finance whether there will be a new civic development bond. It means that, in a way, the culture of investing has been changing and I expect the same group of citizens, some 2,000 people, to invest again,” Dimitrieska-Kochoska said in an interview with 24 TV.
She shared that 190 million euros from the Hungarian loan intended to support local companies have been allocated. The goal, the minister noted, to support companies in investing has been met.
“If GDP data shows that we have huge movements, if the statistical indicator in construction shows that we have growth in construction, then I believe we have achieved the goal, which is to help the private sector to in the long term consider staying here. Our goal was to help companies invest. Through these investments, that goal has been achieved,” stated Dimitrieska-Kochoska.
As regards funds from the Hungarian loan to implement projects in the municipalities, the minster said in 2024, 21 million denars were realized and 2.2 billion denars in 2025, but she emphasized that the realization on the ground may be greater and that this will be evident in the coming period.
According to Dimitrieska-Kochoska, public debt is not a cause for concern since there are projected growth rates that will be met. “There isn’t a bigger proof that the government is doing things right than the GDP growth,” she said.
