Mucunski in working visit to Croatia

Skopje, 30 April 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is paying a working visit to Zagreb on Thursday at the invitation of the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman. 

The two ministers will discuss current political developments in the two countries, bilateral relations and initiatives to further promote cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. Special emphasis will be placed on the upcoming signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two countries, economic cooperation and ways to deepen it, as well as extending cooperation in the areas of energy, health, culture and tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release. 

Talks will also focus on the country's progress in the European Union integration process, as well as readiness to use the Croatian experience on the path to full-fledged European Union membership.

The ministers will also exchange views on allied cooperation within NATO, as well as on relevant global topics, regional developments and their implications for the overall situation in the Western Balkans region.

As part of his working visit to Zagreb, Minister Mucunski will participate in a panel on The Forgotten Frontier: The Western Balkans and Europe’s Unfinished Promise as part of the IDU Forum organized by the International Democracy Union (IDU).
