Minister Bozhinovska meets IMF representatives
- Current economic developments and future projections in the country’s energy sector were the topic of discussion at Wednesday’s meeting between Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, and representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by IMF Mission Chief Annette Kyobe.

Skopje, 19 February 2025 (MIA) - Current economic developments and future projections in the country’s energy sector were the topic of discussion at Wednesday’s meeting between Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, and representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by IMF Mission Chief Annette Kyobe.
At the meeting, according to the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, the Minister highlighted the importance of cooperation with international financial institutions as part of the energy transition and noted the Ministry’s efforts in the implementation of reforms aimed at sustainable development of energy, boosting energy efficiency and promoting renewable sources of energy. Bozhinovska stressed such activities are key for the country’s economic growth and stability.
IMF Mission Chief Annette Kyobe commended the Ministry’s commitment to the implementation of energy reforms and voiced support for further activities. She said the IMF would continue to support the country in its efforts to achieve sustainable economic development.
Both parties agreed that strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination between the institutions is key for successfully managing energy challenges and achieving the strategic goals in the field.
