Skopje, 14 December 2025 (MIA) - Considering the sensitivity of issues related to security, migration and public stability as well as the spread of false information, manipulations, and disinformation presented by the opposition in the media, we called this press conference to present the ‘Resolution condemning opposition manipulations and reaffirming policies against illegal migration,’ VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group coordinator Nikola Micevski said on Sunday.

Over the past days, as Micevski pointed out at today’s press conference, the public has witnessed an organized and coordinated campaign by the opposition creating uncertainty and panic among the population.

“Such false scenarios do not exist in government policies. On the contrary, VMRO-DPMNE has actively opposed migrants and migrant camps that the previous SDSM and Zaev government wanted to create,” Micevski stated.

VMRO-DPMNE, as Micevski pointed out, publicly condemns the policies and decisions of the former government under Zoran Zaev, which opened the possibility of establishing migrant camps, contrary to national and state interests.

“The resolution, consisting of nine points, condemns disinformation about the alleged acceptance of migrants and building of camps, confirms that such policies neither exist nor will exist, annuls all previous Zaev government arrangements concerning migrant camps, and calls for responsible, clear speech, safeguarding security, stability, and interethnic relations. It further states that deliberate dissemination of disinformation will be punished under existing laws. The resolution establishes a clear national policy against illegal migration and takes effect immediately after its adoption,” Micevski stressed.

According to Micevski, the VMRO-DPMNE resolution will be submitted to the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, and all parliamentary parties are therefore invited to jointly support it.
