Annual 'November 13' awards presented at a ceremony at National Opera and Ballet

Skopje, 13 November 2025 (MIA) - Addressing Thursday's ceremony for the annual 'November 13' awards, Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski said our task today is clear - rebuild Skopje into a proud, dignified and modern city, make it a city that will set an example, a tidy, green and safe city. A city that will breathe, that will unite, that will inspire, he added. Let us make Skopje a city that will serve the people and give them a reason to be proud of being its residents, said the Mayor.  

Today, he noted, in addition to remembrance, we also pay tribute to all those who build the spirit of our city.

"The 'November 13' award is a thank you to the people who continue to lead together the fight for a better Skopje, with their work, knowledge, and humanity. Your work and achievements are proof that the spirit of Skopje lives on today, in everyone who creates, cares, and builds the future with a full heart and, above all, dedication," Gjorgjievski said at the National Opera and Ballet.

The ‘November 13’ award of the City of Skopje is bestowed on the occasion of liberation day of Skopje. It is awarded to distinguished individuals and legal entities of the City of Skopje for achievements in different categories, including culture, science and art.

Mayor Gjorgjievski presented the awards to this year's winners, including Marijan Patlidzhankovski who won the 'November 13' award for achievements in the area of publishing, Vesna Nedanovska in education, and Skopje's Miladinov Brothers City Library and Suzana Markovska won the award for achievements in culture.

Marijan Bojadzhiev is the winner of the award for achievements in science, Dimo ​​Iliev in art, and Marija Jovanovski Srceva in health care. Delvina Krluku won the award for achievements in social protection, whereas in sports this year the award was presented to Macedonian sports journalist Zoran Mihajlov and Kristijan Janev. The 'November 13' award to a person from another country was presented this year Wolfgang David, and Andrej Tasić is awarded in the area of pupils and students.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, mayors of Skopje municipalities, and councilors also attended the awards ceremony.
