Skopje, 17 April 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski and United States Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires Nicole Varnes held a meeting Friday reaffirming the excellent cooperation between the two countries on digital transformation and cyber security, the Ministry of Digital Transformation said in a press release.

According to the Ministry, Andonovski and Varnes discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in cyber security, in the context of the meeting with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, held in Washington last week, which reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing the partnership between the two countries.

Andonovski expressed gratitude for the support provided by the U.S. Embassy, as well as the technical and financial assistance of US$5 million provided by the U.S. with the aim of strengthening the country’s cyber security and digital infrastructure.

The Ministry said it remains committed to promoting a secure, modern, and resilient digital environment in the interest of the citizens by continuing the successful cooperation with the U.S.
