Tetovo, 2 November 2025 (MIA) – Vlen’s Bashkim Bakiu told a press conference Sunday that with the municipalities won at the local elections, the Vlen coalition is becoming the second-largest political force in the country. This victory marks the completion of the political change among the Albanian electorate, Bakiu said.
“Vlen recorded convincing victories in almost all municipalities where we participated in the runoff. I sincerely thank you for the immense support that confirms our rightful vision, which has been recognized by our fellow citizens. At this moment, I can confirm [Vlen’s] convincing victory in Tetovo with a difference of over 5.000 votes, as well as victories in Bogovinje, Debar, Dolneni, and Struga,” Bakiu said.
Bakiu said the citizens have sent an unequivocal message to DUI.
“The citizens spoke loudly and clearly both two weeks ago and today. DUI’s destructive policies and their lies and manipulations no longer work, it is time for Ali Ahmeti to resign. This party should reform if it wants to remain a political party. A bright future lies ahead for the Albanians in North Macedonia, full of work and projects, a future in which the new will triumph over the old,” Bakiu said.
