Three burn patients return home from Sweden and Greece

Skopje, 2 April 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Health said three patients who were injured in the Kochani nightclub fire, two of whom were hospitalized in Greece and one in Sweden, are returning Wednesday to the country. In line with protocols, the patients will be kept under 24-hour observation.   

According to the Health Ministry, 23 patients remain hospitalized in Serbia, 14 patients in Bulgaria, 10 patients in Türkiye, 8 patients in Greece, 4 patients in Slovenia, 3 patients each in Hungary, Croatia, Spain, Austria and Lithuania, and one patient each in Italy and Poland. 

"In Skopje, a patient was hospitalized at the Toxicology Clinic yesterday after returning from Poland, and is being discharged for home treatment today. Two patients remain at the Plastic Surgery Clinic, and 6 patients remain at the "St. Naum Ohridski" hospital," reads the press release. 

The Ministry adds that five patients are hospitalized at the "8 September" hospital, one of whom is to be released for home treatment, two patients are hospitalized at the Pulmonology Clinic, and three patients are hospitalized at the Sistina private hospital.

"The Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the condition of the injured patients and remains in constant communication with medical teams in the country and abroad, dedicated to providing the best possible care for those injured in the Kochani tragedy," the press release reads.
