Skopje, 6 November 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received Thursday the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Christoph Sommer. 

Interlocutors assessed the three-decade long cooperation as friendly and fruitful, expressing determination and readiness to expand and deepen it, the President's Office said in a press release. 

President Siljanovska Davkova thanked the Swiss Ambassador for the continued support to the Macedonian European integration. She also acknowledged Switzerland's numerous and valuable donations in the areas of youth and women's protection, the environment, as well as strengthening inclusiveness and responsibility.

For the Swiss Ambassador, reads the press release, the vast Macedonian diaspora is a valuable and respected actor in Swiss society.

Siljanovska Davkova and Sommer agreed that multilateral cooperation, especially related to candidacy for prestigious positions, is useful, constructive and successful.
