Skopje, 19 March 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Interior has informed all citizens and users of drones that the Civil Aviation Agency has issued a ban on drone operations at the territory of eight municipalities - Kochani, Shtip, Cheshinovo-Obleshevo, Strumica, Probishtip, Makedonska Kamenica, Vinica and Skopje.

Unauthorized and uncoordinated operation of these aircraft is not only a risk to the air traffic but can also have a serious impact on the life and property of third parties on the ground. Operating drones in prohibited zones can be sanctioned in line with the Law on Aviation, the MoI said in a press release.

It adds that in these days of unimaginable sorrow and pain, gatherings should be peaceful, while observing the decisions by state institutions and orders of police officers, in order to ensure peace, safety and security of all citizens.
