Skopje, 16 October 2024 (MIA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Timcho Mucunski, held his first meeting Wednesday with the Finnish Ambassador based in Belgrade, Niklas Lindqvist.

Minister Mucunski expressed his satisfaction with the fact that, for over 30 years, the two countries have been fostering partnership relations and maintaining an active political dialogue, sharing common strategic interest for lasting peace, stability and prosperity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

“He also expressed his gratitude for Finland’s steadfast and principled support for North Macedonia’s EU integration, as well as Finland’s strategic vision for the European future of the Western Balkan countries,” reads the press release.

Mucunski underscored the interest in boosting economic cooperation and trade relations with Finland, as well as deepening collaboration in other areas of mutual interest.
