Skopje, 9 April 2026 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski says he is satisfied with the dynamic of the construction of the highway sections on Corridor 8 and Corridor 10D. With financing provided by domestic banks to complete the Kichevo-Ohrid highway, this section will be put into function, he announced. 

“All sections on Corridor 8 are being built according to the planned dynamics. The galleries are currently being constructed. We faced a slight difficulty, especially in terms of securing funds for the completion of the Kicevo-Ohrid section because we are no longer receiving the loan from the China’s Exim Bank. It stopped, but we quickly reorganized. That problem has been overcome, a syndicate of domestic banks has been formed with exceptionally favorable conditions and they will practically complete the financing. With this, that section will finally become functioning,” Mickoski says Thursday speaking to reporters.

Also, he added, progress has been recorded on Tetovo-Gostivar and Gostivar Bukojchani section and the construction of the Prilep-Bitola section, part of Corridor 10D, is also progressing, for which I’m satisfied.
