Skopje, 14 October 2024 (MIA) — First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti met Monday with a delegation of MATTO Macedonia Türkiye Chamber of Commerce led by its president Aydoğan Ademoski.

According to the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in a press release, meeting participants highlighted the excellent cooperation between North Macedonia and Türkiye in business, culture, economy and other areas.

Mexhiti said the two governments aimed to increase trade between the two countries as well as to encourage Turkish companies to invest in North Macedonia.

"Both sides confirmed the importance of trade cooperation between the two countries and stressed its importance for both economies," the release said.

At the meeting, Mexhiti reiterated that Turkish investments were an excellent opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties, bringing benefits for both countries, helping create jobs, and contributing to economic growth. mr/
