Skopje, 2 November 2025 (MIA) – We can proudly say that Macedonia once again demonstrated maturity, dignity, and democratic awareness. Today our country held peaceful, fair, and democratic elections that are a source of pride for all our citizens, said VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Valentin Manasievski at a press conference Sunday after polls closed in the country’s local elections.

“All reports indicate that election day proceeded in a peaceful and dignified atmosphere, this shows Macedonia knows how to carry out democratic elections in accordance with the highest standards,” Manasievski said.

Manasievski said VMRO-DPMNE expects an excellent result and a massive victory.

“We know the citizens expect results, solutions, and a new energy. We will not betray that trust. Starting tomorrow, we begin work with even greater dedication and responsibility,” Manasievski said.

Asked how many mayoral posts the party expects, Manasievski said VMRO-DPMNE expects to win every race it is a part of in the second round of the elections, including in Skopje, where the party expects a convincing victory.

Regarding reactions over irregularities by some parties, Manasievski reiterated the elections were fair and democratic, and for the first time in a long time the country held “European” elections.
