Skopje, 15 April 2025 (MIA) - Seven more police officers will be detained in connection with the tragedy at the Pulse nightclub in Kochani. Chief Prosecutor Ljupcho Kocevski said Tuesday a detention order has been issued against another seven police officers, who will be brought before a pre-trial judge tomorrow.

"I was just informed that a court order has been issued to detain another seven police officers and their detention is currently underway. They will be brought before a pre-trial judge tomorrow," Kocevski told Telma TV, holding off on providing further details in the interest of the investigation.

The Chief Prosecutor did not rule out the possibility of other police officers being detained until the investigation is completed.

Previously, an investigation was launched against seven police officers. 

The fire at the nightclub in Kochani on March 16 claimed the lives of 61 people and left 193 injured.
