Skopje, 4 May 2026 (MIA) - Deputy PM and Minister of European Affairs Bekim Sali launched Monday campaign "May - Europe Month", alongside European Union Ambassador Michalis Rokas and European ambassadors, international partners and national institutions.
The initiative aims at going further than only observing Europe Day-May 9 but turning May into a month that promotes the process of European integration and brings it closer to the citizens, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.
Minister Sali said the campaign would focus on the specific benefits of the EU membership, including the opportunities for young people, infrastructure development and support to the local economy, rather than the technical aspects of the accession negotiations.

Various activities will be organized over the course of May, including the presentation of success stories from EU-supported projects that already have a direct impact on the improvement of people's lives.
The campaign is implemented in cooperation with civil society, universities, the business community, and cultural institutions, with the aim of making the European integration process more visible and meaningful for all citizens, reads the press release.
