Skopje, 4 May 2026 (MIA) - The Government coalition is stable and even has a two-thirds majority in Parliament if needed, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Monday.

"I would not say that the ruling coalition is breaking up, but rather that SDSM is breaking up, considering that former senior members of the party, current and former mayors are criticizing the SDSM leadership. The government coalition is stable and has a two-thirds majority in the Parliament if needed. We have shown this on several occasions and will do the same if necessary," PM Mickoski told reporters.

He added that the focus of the executive is placed on reforms and a better life for citizens.

"The political swamp of SDSM is their homework," said Mickoski after the opposition party claimed that the decision of ZNAM MP Mile Cekov to leave the parliamentary majority is an indicator that the government coalition is falling apart.
