Gjorgjievski announces new directors of Skopje public enterprises

Skopje, 13 November 2025 (MIA) - Skopje's four public enterprises will get new acting directors. The Mayor of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, announced their names on Thursday.

Boris Nastov will be appointed director of the 'Streets and Roads' public enterprise. Nastov held this post at the beginning of former mayor Danela Arsovska's mandate. Ivan Mitrovski, incumbent deputy mayor of Kisela Voda, will be appointed director of Skopje’s 'Water Supply and Sewerage' public enterprise.

According to Gjorgjievski, Skopje's Public Transport Enterprise (JSP) will be headed by a long-term employee of this company, while Skopje's 'Communal Hygiene' public enterprise will be headed by a long-term employee at the communal sector of the City of Skopje.

"'Communal Hygiene' will get a director who stood out as an exceptional worker in the past period and during the 72-hour city cleanup action. His name is Dragi, a long-term employee at the communal sector of the City of Skopje, who has not been previously exposed either within a party or in public. Sashe will be appointed as director in JSP Skopje, a long-term employee of this company, has experience and understands the processes," Gjorgjievski told Kanal 5 TV on Thursday.

Gjorgjievski denied he ever said that he would privatize public enterprises. He pointed out that he would work on strengthening the capacities of public enterprises and that he would work on making them self-sustainable.

Citizens' bills, he added, will not go up. "That's what I promised in my campaign," said Gjorgjievski.
