FM Mucunski meets Norway's Western Balkans envoy Mathisen
- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Wednesday with Norway's Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Eirik Nestås Mathisen, and highlighted Oslo's active role in the region and its Euro-Atlantic support for the countries in the area, ensuring its long-standing and sustainable development.
Skopje, 15 January 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Wednesday with Norway's Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Eirik Nestås Mathisen, and highlighted Oslo's active role in the region and its Euro-Atlantic support for the countries in the area, ensuring its long-standing and sustainable development.
FM Mucunski thanked Norway for the expert assistance it provides in many key areas, expecting this support to continue in the future, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.
Special envoy Mathisen expressed satisfaction from the countries' firm partnership within NATO, noting that North Macedonia is a regional leader in the security aspect, while emphasizing the country's strong support to Ukraine.
Interlocutors also discussed developments in the region and beyond, while reaffirming their commitment for further enhancement of political dialogue and cooperation, reads the press release.
