Skopje, 9 April 2024 (MIA) - Firefighters have contained the blaze at Skopje's Universal Hall after it was engulfed in flames on Tuesday morning.

The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said the fire was confined to one of the building's domes and firefighters were on the scene fighting the blaze. 

According to CMC, the fire was reported through a 112 call, whereat dispatchers were told that an outdoor fire was spreading over the Universal Hall building at the Partizanski Odredi Blvd. in downtown Skopje. 

So far, there's no information about the cause of the fire.  

Renovation work was underway at the Universal Hall.
