Deputy PM Nikoloski in U.S. visit, to hold meetings at World Bank and State Department
- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski will be visiting the United States in the next three days, for meetings at the World Bank and the State Department. He will also address the main plenary session of the annual forum Transforming Transportation 2026, alongside European Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
Skopje, 9 March 2026 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski will be visiting the United States in the next three days, for meetings at the World Bank and the State Department. He will also address the main plenary session of the annual forum Transforming Transportation 2026, alongside European Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
"Nikoloski will address a plenary on "Resilient Corridors for Sustainable Connectivity", focusing on the strategic pan-European corridors in Macedonia as well as the infrastructure projects implemented by the Government, with a strong emphasis on the ongoing construction of highway sections, as well as the planned construction of a high-speed railway on Corridor X and the railway connection with Bulgaria on Corridor VIII," the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.
Multiple meetings with the World Bank management are also scheduled during the event, for talks on current and future projects implemented by the Government and the Ministry of Transport in partnership with the World Bank.
"During his visit to the United States, Nikoloski will meet with top officials of the State Department for talks on the partnership and economic cooperation between Macedonia and the United States as the country's strategic partner. Nikoloski will also meet with representatives of the Republican Party," reads the press release.
