Skopje, 16 January 2025 (MIA) - The Commission on Awarding Decorations and Recognitions held a constitutive session on Thursday, with President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova also in attendance. 

Commission members expressed gratitude for the honor and trust to participate in the selection of individuals and institutions that have left a deep mark and indelible traces in Macedonian society, the President's Office said in a press release.

"President Siljanovska Davkova expressed satisfaction with the members, pointing out that in nominating them she was guided by their mastery, work and achievements in various fields. She wished them fruitful and successful work in recognizing and awarding the best," reads the press release. 

By decision of President Siljanovska Davkova, Prof. Dr. Valentin Mircheski was appointed chair of the commission, and Prof. Dr. Gzime Starova, Dr. Samuel Sadikario, Dr. Andrijana Janevska, MA Ana Durlovski, MA Reshat Ameti, MA Gena Teodosievska, Dejan Georgievski, Zharko Basheski, Olivera Nakovska Bikova and Vesna Petrushevska were appointed members of the commission.
