Skopje, 28 November 2025 (MIA) - The number of live births recorded in the third quarter of 2025 was 4,431, an increase of 3.7% compared to the same quarter of 2024, according to data from the State Statistical Office.

The number of deaths in the third quarter of 2025, decreased by 0.5% compared to the same quarter of 2024 and it amounted to 4,849 of which 20 were infant deaths.

The natural increase is negative, -418 persons, representing the difference by which the number of live births is smaller than the number of deaths.

The number of marriages registered in this quarter of the year was 3,514 a decrease of 2.8% compared to the same quarter of 2024.

In this quarter of 2025, there were 470 divorces, which represents an increase of 27.7% in comparison with the same quarter of 2024.
