Administrative Court rejects European Front appeal over Krushevo polling station

Skopje, 17 May 2024 (MIA) - The Administrative Court has rejected as unfounded the appeal of the DUI-led European Front over the State Election Commission (SEC) decision to accept the complaint of the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition in polling station 1194 in Krushevo at the May 8 parliamentary elections.

According to the Electoral Code, if the revote decision affects the final election results, the SEC should administer a repeated vote on May 22.

SEC found violations in the work of the electoral board, considering that 359 ballots were counted while registering 358 signatures in the Electoral Roll. In addition, the number of fingerprints did not match the number of used ballots.

The European Front coalition has filed seven appeals against SEC decisions and the Administrative Court is set to decide on all of them by the end of the day.

At the start of yesterday's Administrative Court public session, the Worth It coalition withdrew its appeal over the State Election Commission's (SEC) decision to reject their complaint for a polling station in village Dolna Banjica in Gostivar municipality. The Administrative Court decided to terminate the proceedings.

SEC received 27 complaints regarding the voting process at the May 8 parliamentary elections, and accepted seven of them - six in the fifth election district and one in the sixth election district.
