Parliament elects new ombudsman
Skopje, 23 January 2026 (MIA) – Parliament at Friday’s 65th session elected Faton Selami as the new Ombudsman.
89 MPs voted in favor of Selami’s election with six voting against. Of the MPs belonging to non-majority communities, 28 were in favor and 8 voted against.
The Tetovo-born Selami is a law graduate who holds a Master of Laws degree and has passed the bar and notary exams.
