Skopje, 14 January 2026 (MIA) - The caretaker government should be scrapped immediately, but if there is no agreement from all political factors, then the next regular parliamentary elections should be held by a caretaker government and then after that it can be scrapped, Vlen’s Bilall Kasami said in a press statement after the conclusion of the leaders’ meeting on Wednesday.

According to Kasami, at the meeting Vlen proposed amending the Electoral Code in order to allow greater participation of the diaspora in the electoral process.

“We have no position on the number of electoral districts, the most important thing is to have open lists, regardless of the decision, even if it is a single district,” Kasami said.

Kasami welcomed Wednesday's leaders’ meeting, noting that the participants had a constructive discussion and broached many political and economic topics.
