Belgian police find skeleton of Macedonian national missing in Brussels for 22 years

Brussels, 22 January 2026 (MIA) - Forensic experts have determined that a skeleton found in a basement of a house in Brussels is Macedonian national Redzep Rahmanovski, who has been missing since 2003, said the Belgian Federal Police.
The skeleton was found during refurbishing works in the house last July.
According to the police file, Rahmanovski (b.1976) was last seen leaving work on the evening of 16 July 2003 and has been reported missing since.
A search order of the house has been issued in hope of getting more information on what happened to the victim.
In addition, the Belgian police are looking for witnesses that might provide information about Rahmanovski or his whereabouts at the time of his disappearance.
