Skopje, 10 January 2025 (MIA) — Following the organized walkout of State Attorney's Office staff on Wednesday, employees of the State Statistical Office and six government ministries will go on strike to protest their pay on Jan. 14. 

According to Trade Union of Administration, Judiciary and Citizens' Associations leader Trpe Deanoski, protesters will be demanding to sign a collective agreement providing for a salary increase of 30 percent.

"So far, six ministries will protest, namely the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of European Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Economy and Labor, together with State Statistical Office employees," he said.

Deanoski said the union would officially announce all protest participants on Monday, allowing for the possibility that others may join in later. mr/
