Skopje, 21 April 2025 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi says he is staying in the Vlen (Worth It) coalition as he denies media reports that he will quit the group.

"As an MP, I remain loyal to the voters who elected me on 8 May 2025. Therefore, Afrim Gashi is a member of Alternativa within the Vlen coalition. As Parliament Speaker, I am trying to be balanced for all lawmakers and MP groups, which is my constitutional responsibility and part of my job," Gashi wrote in a Facebook post.

Amid turmoil involving Allance of Albanians (AA) leader Arben Taravari, who said his party would have its own lists for municipal council members at the October local elections, the Vlen coalition said the procedure of merging the coalition's political parties into one would begin as of this week.
