Sinner races past Zverev to book place in Paris Masters final

London, 2 November 2025 (PA Media/dpa/MIA) – Jannik Sinner cemented his place in the Paris Masters final with a straight-sets win over Alexander Zverev on Saturday.

A dominant display in the opening set of their semi-final saw the Italian break Zverev’s serve three times without dropping a game.

Zverev continued to struggle in the second set and although he held his serve in the opening game, Sinner broke three more times to win the match 6-0, 6-1 in an hour and two minutes.

The lopsided match came a week after Sinner needed three sets to beat Zverev in the Vienna Open final.

Sinner will reclaim the world number one position from Carlos Alcaraz if he wins Sunday's final against Felix Auger-Aliassime, who earned a 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 win over Alexander Bublik.

Little could separate the pair in the first set before Canada's Auger-Aliassime prevailed in the tie-break.

Both players exchanged breaks early in the second set before Bublik surged into a 4-1 lead, but he then had his serve broken twice as Auger-Aliassime staged an impressive fightback.
