Serbian PM: 14 North Macedonia nationals treated in Serbia

Belgrade, 17 March 2025 (MIA) – Serbian outgoing prime minister Miloš Vučević said Monday that 14 North Macedonia nationals, who were injured during yesterday’s deadly fire in Kochani, are being treated in Serbia, MIA reports from Belgrade.
Vučević said he had met with North Macedonia’s Deputy PM Ivan Stoilkovikj, who thanked Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the Serbian people for the assistance and care shared by Serbia with North Macedonia.
He once again offered deepest condolences to the families of the young people who died in the tragic incident in Kochani on behalf of the Serbian government and the people of Serbia.
“The solidarity offered by Serbia after the tragedy in Kochani should be respected and we are immensely thankful for the offered assistance. We are thankful that they put at a disposal, like all other neighbouring countries, their capacities, most importantly their medical capacities,” Deputy PM Stoilkovikj said, according to a press release from his office following his meeting with PM Vučević.
It added that they discussed ways for additional assistance following the deadly fire that killed 59 people.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić later today will visit the patients injured in the Kochani fire that are being treated at the university clinical center in Belgrade, MIA reports from the Serbian capital.
