Skopje, 16 January 2026 (MIA) - A pre-trial judge issued Friday precautionary measures for nine individuals after yesterday's operation of the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime and Corruption involving Public Revenue Office (PRO) employees.

The Skopje-based Criminal Court said in a press release that a motion for precautionary measures for ten persons has been filed to the court, nine of whom have faced a pre-trial judge, who has approved the measures of passport confiscation, obligation to report to the court, ban on communicating with certain individuals, and ban on performing certain activities.

Investigators from the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime and Corruption, assisted by police, have been conducting searches at several locations nationwide, with individuals detained under the suspicion of criminal association, money laundering, tax fraud, and tax evasion.
