Skopje, 28 January 2026 (MIA) - The Ministry of Interior's Organized Crime Department has pressed criminal charges against three individuals from Skopje for unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics after seizing 150kg of marijuana in a vehicle.

Earlier this week, one of the detained purchased a van in which he put the bags filled with marijuana together with the second detainee. Since the vehicle was not in running order, they contacted the third person to tow the vehicle from Struga to Skopje. After arriving in Skopje, they asked the tow truck driver to resume the journey to Sveti Nikole.

Upon a tip, police officers stopped the tow truck at a regional road near Sveti Nikole and found eight bags with 50 packages of marijuana each in the van.

The Forensic Department later determined that the marijuana totalled 150kg, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
