PM Mickoski resumes visit to United Arab Emirates

Skopje, 15 April 2025 (MIA) – A government delegation, led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, is resuming Tuesday its official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Mickoski kicked off his visit Monday with a meeting with the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In the meeting, it was emphasized that the countries should establish closer and more fruitful relations, said Mickoski.

“I, on my part, briefly explained our goals as a Government, and at the same time, I invited His Highness, the President of the UAE, to visit Macedonia, and naturally, the business community from the UAE to closely look at all opportunities for direct investment in the areas of tourism, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and so on - something that, I am convinced, can represent a solid basis for our bilateral and deeper cooperation," said PM Mickoski.

During its UAE visit, which concludes on Thursday, the government team will meet with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai who serves as the vice president and prime minister of the UAE, with officials of the Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company, the state-owned Mubadala Investment Company, Masdar, the state-owned renewable energy company, and with several chambers of commerce so as to examine prospects for cooperation in infrastructure projects, investments in agribusiness, renewable energy sources, tourism, innovations and modern technology, said the government in a press release.

The delegation consists of Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, Government Secretary General Igor Janushev, Free Zones Directorate head Goce Dimovski, National Coordinator for Tourism Akkan Mahmut and representatives of several state institutions.
